HISTORY
The Postgraduate Program of Siliwangi University was established in response to the increasing need for higher education at the master's and doctoral levels in the East Priangan region and its surroundings. The beginning of postgraduate education at Siliwangi University began with the implementation of the PKLH Study Program in 1997. Along with increasing public trust and institutional support, other master's programs began to be developed.
With a commitment to expand contributions in the development of science and superior human resources, Siliwangi University officially established the Postgraduate Program as a separate unit that focuses on managing postgraduate education. The establishment of this Postgraduate Program is an important milestone in the history of institutional development, marking the transition from separate program management to a more structured and professional managerial unit.
Along the way, the Postgraduate Program continues to grow and develop. Until 2025, the Postgraduate Program of Siliwangi University has seven master's study programs and three doctoral study programs, covering various disciplines such as education, economics, agriculture, and sports. The development of study programs is carried out gradually and sustainably, in line with the needs of society and the strategic direction of university development.
In the future, the Postgraduate Program of Siliwangi University is committed to becoming a center for advanced higher education that is superior, adaptive, and globally competitive, by carrying a collaborative and innovative spirit in supporting national development through education, research, and community service.
